In this article, we perform a head-to-head comparison of two well-regarded sleep support supplements, Deep Sleep and DELTA BrainLuxury. Read on to see which product takes the first position.
If you have trouble falling or staying asleep, you are not alone. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that 35.2% of adults sleep less than the recommended seven hours most nights, risking fatigue and diminished cognitive functions. The Sleep Foundation says up to 30% of adults and 48% of seniors struggle with chronic insomnia.

The trending demand for a quality deep sleep supplement
A considerable market has developed for products to help us sleep, including prescription medications and dietary sleep aid and sleep support supplements.
The sleep supplement sector is gaining momentum as prescription medications are challenged by “possible side effects, driving the population towards use of natural sleep aids such as dietary supplements,” according to Ariston Advisory and Intelligence.
Is a deep sleep supplement safe and effective?
A search online for “deep sleep supplement” discovers numerous brands promising to help you sleep naturally, and without risking side effects. Most are based on herbs; some contain synthetic melatonin, which helps regulate the body’s circadian rhythm. “But do they work, and are they good options to solve your sleep struggles?” asks Harvard Health Publishing. While proof that supplements can help improve sleep may be limited, they are generally regarded as safe.
Is there a deep sleep supplement you can trust and depend on? We found two worthy of consideration:
Deep Sleep:
The herbal solution
We first focused on a popular brand. Deep Sleep promises refreshing and restful nights, helping you fall asleep and stay asleep, with no morning grogginess. It’s from Herbs Etc, a 51-year-old company whose products are entirely herbal and natural.
Herbs Etc claims to be the only herbal supplement supplier that encapsulates herbal liquid extracts into their own soft gels, made with a proprietary extract blend of valerian root, chamomile, California poppy, passionflower, and lemon balm.
Deep Sleep:
Benefits and negatives
There are no reported side effects from this all-natural formulation. Deep Sleep does not cause drowsiness or withdrawal symptoms, is non-habit forming, and can be safely taken long-term.
But does it work as claimed? Deep Sleep’s formulation has been challenged for effectiveness:
- Valerian root, a key ingredient, is a “well-studied dietary supplement for sleep, but evidence backing its use for this purpose is weak,” says Dr. Suzanne Bertisch, clinical director of Behavioral Sleep Medicine at Harvard-associated Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
- She adds, “People have been using chamomile to promote better sleep for ages, but there are few studies supporting this use.”
- Phactual, a healthcare evaluation website, notes, “There are no studies which link California Poppy to promoting sleep at any capacity.”
- Other deep sleep supplements are named Good Sleep, potentially resulting in the purchase of the wrong brand.
Pricing: Relative to other deep sleep supplements, Deep Sleep’s pricing appears reasonable:
- A trial size of 10 soft gels can be ordered for $8.98 or 30 soft gels for $20.98.
- This compares favorably to Avinol PM, top-rated (4.8/5.0) on a review site, which costs $44.99 for 30 tablets.
DELTA BrainLuxury:
The nutritional alternative
DELTA BrainLuxury is from a new company formed by scientists, researchers, and thought leaders. Cofounder Dr. Axel Bouchon created a “different type of sleep supplement that would provide the brain with the right amount of nutrients in order to help people reinstall their natural sleep and recharge their brains during the night” (VMagazine).
In contrast to other deep sleep supplement formulations, the brand bases its effectiveness on essential nutrients that nourish the brain to support deep sleep:
- Amino acids, the building blocks of protein, including glycine, which mediates falling asleep naturally, and tryptophan, a precursor of natural melatonin
- Fats and oils to form brain tissues and neurons, and vitamins and minerals to support metabolism, plus Omega-3 fatty acids
DELTA BrainLuxury:
Benefits and negatives
This brand’s premise differentiates it from other deep sleep supplements: “DELTA is a sleep supplement that supports natural deep sleep, without artificial melatonin. It helps your brain get the precursor nutrients it needs to make melatonin naturally, at the right time and in the right amount for natural deep sleep,” Dr. Bouchon explains.
- He emphasizes the importance of naturally achieving the deep phase of sleep. “It’s actually the deep sleep phase in the first three hours of your night that is so important because that’s when our memories are formed and neuroplasticity is built,” and our brains are fully recharged.
Contributing to brain health and functionality further distinguishes DELTA BrainLuxury:
- By detoxing and protecting the health of your brain, you get natural, healthy, deep sleep, so that you wake up refreshed and ready to get going.
The brand is available online as a monthly subscription; a fresh monthly supply assures your brain-enhancing nutrients are at their peak of freshness and performance, unlike long shelf-life herbal supplements, which can be up to three years old.
The formulation is a liquid, custom bottled in glass vials and elegantly packaged, suitable for display.
User satisfaction is high, with 93% acknowledging a positive difference; 77 users rate it 4.7/5.
Pricing: Compared to other deep sleep supplements, the cost of DELTA BrainLuxury appears high at $7.80 per vial with a monthly subscription. But daily use may not be needed, lowering the actual cost per month over time, as the company’s chat advises:
- “This is our guide for dosage: Desperate for sleep, 1 vial every night; to improve sleep, 2 to 3 vials per week; ad hoc support, 1 vial when deep sleep is needed the most.”
The future of sleep management
Deep sleep supplements have evolved, and DELTA BrainLuxury takes first position for multiple good reasons:
- The nutritional formulation of DELTA BrainLuxury appears more beneficial in promoting deep sleep than the traditional reliance on herbal extracts, whose efficacy is questionable.
- If you can’t sleep at night, and are tired and without energy during the day, your brain may be missing key nutrients you need for restful, refreshing sleep that will let you live your optimum life. This is the premise upon which DELTA BrainLuxury has been created.
With the right deep sleep supplement, it’s possible to enjoy the benefits of refreshing rest for many nights to come.
